Does anyone know, or more to the point where can i find out if the tracks are the same and what the suspension diff's are.

Tracks are different. I forget by how much.

Suspension was stiffer and lower, again I forget by how much.

I really really want my old one back. :(

Is it worth getting a wider track for mine do you think, like the valver and Williams? Or is the diff not as much?

the cup got its wider track through the offset of the wheels, about 10mm both sides

For sure? My Cup wheels should do the trick then.

from the limited amount of digging ive done on the wishbones, it looks like 172 and a cups are the same, but the 182 has different wishbones... whether or not this affects the track is another thing :D

Yeh the 182 has a different set up, cant copy that! Just want to make my 172 handy with the wheels and maybe some suspension alterations not too much mind.

From what I remember of driving 172's and my Cup, the difference was negligable, particularly day to day driving?

Is the trophy in your avatar yours? if it is why would you want cup suspension set up? You've got oil reservoir dampers or some such things? :)

Nah, trophy's not mine. Was going to get one but not so sure these days. From what I have found on RS, the shocks are diff so to are the springs and wheels, nothing more!

Yeh - I am going to hold off until September now as I had a pay freeze at work which was a bit of a shitter. Best not spending a few k on a car when my job looks a little ropey. Should be qualifying too at the end of the year myself which hopefully should be a bit of a brucey bonus.

Saying all this, my wife is getting pissed off with me changing my mind so much!

Jamie, if you want some proper suspension give me a shout, I know a place that will build you a set of remote oil dampers that will run rings round the Trophy setup or pretty much any other sub £2k setup
