the mechanics didnt cover the car when it went to get its new belt and it rained...hard. basically the interior and under the bonnet got wet. so now the car is running really badly i.e. sometimes stalls in idol and power drops off when you drive it. the splutters are really random. theres abit of black smoke coming out the exhaust and smells quite bad. but it is all getting better. i was wondering if it was some water in the engine is it jsut working its way out and will be fine soon?

cheers for your input!

like maxi said ,take the cover off and blow them clean .
the black smoke got to be unburnt fuel due to fubarised ignition
