Just booked a full day with Renaultsport @ Brands Hatch on the 27th May.

I know some CS people are going. Anyone here?

RS days normally are an open pit lane, when cadwell oulton and brands at least.

It's open pit lane with testing their new Renaultsport cars I think as well.

I heard there are only about 4 places left. £149, 8am briefing for an hour with track info ends at 5 pm.

im going :D aswell as midge and bass direct. its gonna be very busy but should be a brilliant day :twisted: i think it is almost at its 45 limit as 38 were confirmed on tues 7th and since then 3 people have booked on rs forum and them me,bass,midge leaving 1-2 spaces spare i think....

Tis a bit of a drive, but if not spending anything at the other end could make a good excuse for a drive out :) Maybe even get to put some faces to user names :)

By the way, in my confirmation email it says:

'Please remember to bring your driving licence. You are welcome to bring spectators free of charge.'

So yea, spectate to your hearts content!

Mines quite fast cept I need to check my timing it correct before I go. Hope to get a few scalps...hopefully not my own hehe.

Leighanne's going to be carrying all my fluids and sundries (she does not know yet) in her car :)

Argh, yea this will be the challenge! I think I have to be there for race briefing or whatever it's called by 8 a.m.

I imagine I will leave about 6.30 a.m. from sunny Southampton.

You guys don't have to be there by then of course!

Personally I'll be getting some tuition first, and probably taking it easy at first, building up to full attack mode later in the day assuming the car has not imploded by then.

Personally I'll be getting some tuition first, and probably taking it easy at first, building up to full attack mode later in the day assuming the car has not imploded by then.

you will need to leave earlier than that. normally takes me 2hrs during normal day time to get to maidstone (20mins up the road from brands hatch), so its going to take you 1hr 40mins, plus add a bit because you drive like a grandad, plus add a bit more because you'll want to avoid rush hour (read: car park) on the m25.

I would leave off at 5.30-5.45 at the latest if i was you.

Yup its same distance basically, well minus 20mins.

Haha! You will get scared again mate :D But sure, come along and I am sure as long as you have a helmet you can have a ride.

I will need to keep an eye on coolant and bleed the system a few times I reckon. I think I have a leak again and I suspect it's the HG pressurising the system, though all should be well as long as I monitor it...otherwise it's going to be another epic Wobba HG fix in the street for me!

tbh im really not bothered about the weather, did last year in the pissing down rain and and the year before so kinda use to a wet brands :lol:

Plan is, meet at the Titchfield Esso (I think) garage at 5.30/45 and head off from there up the A3 with Matt in his Williams.

dan, ive just got in from the AA man dropping off you car at mine... well 10mins ago. obsolutely shattered.

passenger side wheel bearing is shot on mine, it got extremely bad driving through southamoton, thought thw wheel was going to fall off and it kept pulling to the side lots.... the wheel rocks about 1cm either way, lol, surprised it stayed on! its very bad! shocking tbh!

nice one, had most fun playing with the mk1 boys, as we all seemed on par. Some nice equipment you guys have :wink:

Got some good scalpings of some mk2's. The best was making that green 172 go off infront of me as he was pushing to hard, haha, good fun, glad he didn't hit anything. Think it knocked his confidence quite a bit though.
