I need to disconect the battery so i can change the air filter,is there any way i can still get power to the car,so my stereo settings wont get lost.I thought halfords did a plug-in cig lighter device but maybe im wrong

I know what you mean, you clip a 9v battery on it, try ebay.
Search settings saver in the car section. Think you should get something.

dont need to disconnect or remove battery to do std air filter change m8 bit tight but def can be done :wink:

you do need to remove the battery pretty much, but there may be enough slack on connection wires to wiggle it up and out the way to access the airbox screws

did manage to get the screws undone but the box would not lift up,to close to the battery

undo the clamp and see how far it will pull, always taken my battery out though tbh

any one know if disconnecting the battery,messes with the stalk controls,not on a standard head unit ? (autoleads/jvc)
