low idle

how can i fix it please
its sometimes drops to about 600-700
its only just strted doing it this week ?
iv read something about icv valve and cleaning it but where is it ?
if i remove the air filter box is that the thing i should clean

no its bolted to the inlet manifold and has a pipe from the air filter..

could be an air leak split pipe also

is there a trick for testing for splits?
like spraying wd40 and seeing if it speeds up
