alloy wheel what primer

Right i have a set of williams wheels that i have had sandblasted an am now readey to paint them but what i need to know is do i have to use a special primer on bare alloy.

Also does anyone know of any guides to alloy refurb online

Personally i would use an Acid Etch primer for the first coat so it can bond to the metal well enough, then prep it and go over with some High Build Primer to remove any blemishes, prep and then top coats.. and lacquer
