Hi can anyone help me i have recently took the ecu out of my car to get it chiped. i i have left the ecu out of my car for around 2 weeks wile this is being done i have brought another williams ecu exactly the same to use in the mean time all the part number`s match. I went to plug this ecu into my car today and nothing happens the starter turns over but the engine wont fire. i am really stuck with this and have no idea what it could be now i have read some posts on this forum about williams ecu`s not being coded to the imobiliser does any 1 no if this is defo correct. I also removed 1 of the spark plugs to check if there was a spark nothing happend. The car started fine before i removed this ecu for 2 weeks no problems at all is it posable that the ecu could lose settings ? i dont think its the imobiliser because i dont think the starter motor would crank if the car was imobilised please help if posable :roll
