Strange vibration when turning left

Right, here's a conundrum for you all :roll:

I've got a very strange vibration that I can feel through the steering wheel when turning left at speeds above 20-30 mph :? - like exiting roundabouts

It's a bit less apparent at about 70-80 mph but still there and it's only when I'm turning the wheel left I can feel the vibration

any ideas :?:

took a spare hub to my m8's garage & got him to fit the bearing :roll: that bastard owes me that pint back :evil: and a go on his mrs for the inconvenience :twisted:

Right, I've replaced the bearing with an OE 1 from renault into the hub I got from MatBrown

The bearing in the hub I took off was definately ****ed

But I've still got this vibration through the wheel when turning left :x any ideas? :anyone:

I had a similar strange vibration on my car on left hand bends that even Jon(2 live) could not identify. It turned out to be the exhaust downpipe hitting the steering rack. Have you done any work on the exhaust recently that could have changed the alignment slightly?

pete; had the engine out recently to change clutch & cam belt so the downpipe could be catching the rack, will check that 2moro, thanks m8 :D

Mat - I hope it's not the cv joint :roll: had new OE driveshafts fitted 12 months ago, about the same time I had the hub replaced :cry:

I had this same prob a while back cant remember if it was the r5t or the willy but there pretty much the same, and sorry to say this but it could be the drive shaft , it was the short ones outer cv joint for me, stick the front on stands (i had mine under the front arms so it was as if it was on the ground) leave wheels on start it and stick it in 1 gear and let it idle then get someone to turn the steering while you watch the drive shaft, when the the car was going strait the shafts were fine but as the steering was turned the shaft would start to wobble up and down, worth a try anyway.

What would cause a new genuine driveshaft to be fooked after 20k? Or am I just unlucky? :roll:
