For whatever reason i.e needed for standalone management..

Do you run a standard valver crank sensor? Reason i ask is im running a meganne flywheel and my crank sensor looks non standard, (has a non standard connector anyway). and it seems to have packed up.

Im wanting to know if i can use a normal valver crank sensor on the meggy flywheel, does it sit close enough to get a decent pickup, or is the spacing different e.t.c?

Thanks.

i'm not but a standard valver one should work as there just a hall effect magnetic sensor iirc and not vehicle specific except maybe on timing etc..

I wasnt sure if the sensor might be longer i.e sit closer to the reluctor/inductance ring or whatever you call it.

Its more a check that the dimensions are the same really.

doesn't look like that does it?

that sensor + the loom is available from Renault and fits a 172 flywheel, so should fit your meggy one

that's the "new improved" sensor from renualt. Meant to be more reliable. Will work just the same :)
