ive been saying for years now id like to produce an online version of a haynes esq manual using info and pics from genuine williams owners, i think its long overdue and will be time consuming but rewarding nonetheless if it helps keep these cars on the road.

My 2 penneths worth anyways.

Who would actually own the rights to it though?

It would be doable, for sure!

Well Tis my thread :D

Yea im sure this could be done. Will take a while tho to get things going. Layout of book and all but suppose thats publishers job.

Whos up for submitting a guide?

I think before anyone writes anything we should have a list of guides needed and we can slowly fill them. Plagiarism is a bad thing without prior consent from whoever has previously written a guide/article, and a mention to whoever originally did the work should anyones stuff be used from here etc.

We also need some uber pics.

We should also cover typical modifications like weight saving, air filter, brakes etc.

haynes only list 16v jobs, what about the williams specifics such as different torque settings etc etc

Follow the Haynes guide for waterpump....then you'll know pain and confusion.

how different is a williams to work on compared to a 16v? its got what... different arb brackets? :P

F7P and F7R torque settings are the same

so you just want a booklet of mods to do? doesn't sound very williamsclio-esq :D

I'm just saying, there's a hell of a lot to write about and haynes has the majority well covered imo!

It's true, but why do people refer here for advice all the time? it's because:

1. They are too tight to buy a Haynes

2. Haynes makes no sense and does not give enough specific info on certain things, or is plain wrong.

It's an interesting idea, worth exploring, but it would take a lot of work and most of it has been covered in Haynes as you say. Bit of a laugh though?

1. If you cant afford a Haynes surely you can't afford to run a car

2. They aint that bad just need abit of imagination lol.
