Ok.

Willy is a little unhappy at the mo. It starts most times tbh but every so often when i turn the key and starts but tries to cut out half way though if u no wot i mean. Only happens once every 2 days or so....

I do have a ****ing annoying exhaust that is proper hangin at the mo that tbh i want to get shot of cos its bugging the hell out of me. That wouldnt casue start up probs if the hole was big enough no? (Thinking about that thats a stupid idea)

Starter motor?

Sounds like a loose connection on the starter motor, check the white wire.

Unless you use the car a lot ,over the winter .....heater, lights, etc take life out of the battery .

When did you last have the battery checked? or charged up.

Schakal why would it be icv if its only starting - this isnt on tick over...

Col - Never, never had any probs with battery before tbh, had her 2 year now. Maybe time for a new one then ah?

Halfrauds will be able to give the battery a check if you flutter your eyelids at one of the monkeys in there lol

Could be a sticky starter motor? But if it starts to turn then hesitates it is probably lack of power to turn it over, which would likely be battery.

If the batteries alright, just a bit low on charge, then alternator could be on the way out and not charging properly. Do you get flickering battery light occasionally when driving? Mine does it once in a while but I'm ignoring it till it dies properly as it's a pain in the arse to change LoL

my guess would be battery. if its been drained and not allowed to recharge properly then it will damage it. winter really takes a toll on batteries. cold starting etc.
