...Failed the MOT on the front brakes being in-balanced, anyone had this problem before, is it usually a seized caliper?!

it's running hi-spec 4 pots.

Cheers
Danny

Brake bleed needed? Sliding guide bolts need lubricating?

no sliding bolts on hi spec

should have had new braided lines fitted..

bleeding or sticky piston seals..

Brakes were seized, didn't need new pads or discs, however there seems to be more travel in the brake pedal now, any ideas?

Had front brakes unseized and greased up, new rear caliper and hand brake cable and a new brake line along with all brakes being bled up.

What could be causing the brake pedal to travel more, any ideas?

working brakes i assume..

if you pump it up does it get harder...lot of less travel

ha...probably right there! Just feels like it moves a bit too much if u know what i mean!

yeah if u pump they do get harder, but then go back to how they were.

might still be air in them then...have you bleed both sides of the front calipers

The brake compensator must be fully compressed when bleeding, it might be air in the system..

when i had a faulty master cyl i had to pump up the brakes to make them work...

The brakes seem to work, there just seems to be a lot of travel in the brake pedal, however if you pump them again when you come to a stop then they feel better and the brake pedal travels less, if this makes sense?

Going to get them re-bled and see if that sorts it, but if not ill be back! ;)
