Had a search and couldn't find anything. I'm wanting to change my timing belt. Going to get a gates belt but what tools do i need to do it?
I'm guessing a tool to hold the two pulleys in place. Anything else?
Also where can i get those tools?
I'll be doing it with a mate (who was a mechanic). Is it worth it or shall i take it to someone? I don't like spending money if i could do it myself.
Cheers

u dont need any special tools really mate u can hold the sprockets with a 15mm spanner then put the belt on its quite easy really and as long as u can turn the belt around 90 degrees between the longest point in the belt u will be fine

M8 bolt works well

there's marks on the pulleys and the rocker cover that need aligning, and a mark on the flywheel for TDC also
