Snapped cambelt options

hi guys have a 1.2 p reg clio which snapped its cambelt last night, whats my options?

how hard is it for a novice to swap the engine out for another std 1.2 unit?

any how to guides?

may have seen it in the for sale section but looking at other options aswel

also whats the scrap metal value of a std clio?

engine swap is easy enough with a haynes manual

there worth between 50 and 100 on e bay..

could just get the head repaired though

Would the valves have not come into contact with the pistons, or do the pistons have cut outs?

i think they do on the smaller engines but never usually as bad as eight..

pistons should be fine just a few replacement valves i would think or a second-hand head..
