Can you remove the plastic trim part on the boot?

Mine seems to be full of crud inside, not really sure how i would clean it out though...... or would i be better off getting a new one?

Cheers

Held on by 8 or so small white ball clips, just pull the cover towards you and it pops of. This allows you to get inside the tailgate.

I think he means the strip on the bottom.

4 screws and 2 clips, screw at either end visible, 2 under the black caps either side of tailgate lock then gently pull away from body as so not to snap the plastic clips off, might be able to fill them with hot water to disperse the green crud that lies inside

line it up, bang in the 2 plastic clips, then do up the 4 screws and push the 2middle scre hole covers back on

Be careful, the outside 2 have a tendancy to snap.

Well, couldn't get the carbon boot trim off to save my life, god damn!!!

The screw on the left hand side is missing and the other ones seem to be welded in... every screwdriver i tried didnt work.

Gave up in the end.
