Hi folks! What is the best way to align the clutch disc on a Clio Williams 2?
I bought a Draper Tools alignment tool but it doesn't seem to be very accurate, each time i think it's centred and try to pop the gearbox back on it doesn't cooperate. Any tips would be greatly appreciated...

you may need to really wiggle the box on, ive had it when ive had to give up and had a cup of tea, then after it goes straight on.

So did u use an alignment tool or just get it roughly in place first?

Try moving the flywheel slightly to see if it will pop on.

Indeed it is.
Also allows you to do the cambelt and waterpump with ease.

I can also vouch for how much of a pain boxes can be to pop back on!

You can be stood there for ages wiggling it around, then stop for a minute, try again and it just pops straight on lol.

As mentioned though get a socket on the bottom pulley bolt and turn the engine a bit to see if that helps.
