The clowns in the garage managed to throw this part away by accident (Cheers for that lads) Renault tell me the part is un-available so I found two on eBay....one from a Williams 2, the other unknown, but neither of them fit my Williams 1, boo hoo :-(

So were the starter motors different from the Williams 2 onwards and so the heatshields are different?

And how necessary is it to have one bearing in mind I'm no rev happy boy racer?

And does anyone know where I can get one from please?!!

It should be the same as the williams 2 one.

Renault checked out the part number of the ones i had and said they were originally from a 19. The Clio Haynes manual also shows a different part to the ones I had being removed from a 16v

I'm confused :-(

Dont suppose anyone can supply any pics of what these parts look like on a Willy 1/2/3 ??

I think its the same as the willy2 one, you should go down to the garage and slap the crazy fool that threw your one away!!
