can't you tell your a member of DW, lol.

I agree the Simoniz is shivte.

I used the product below mate and it works very well, BUT it is messy, so use gloves and tape up any of the surrounding paintwork with bodyshop tape.

when it's fully dried use AG Bumper Care on top.

Armorall. Top bit of kit and can use it on all plastics and tyres. Last quite well and leaves a lovely shine on the surface without attracting dust (inside). Keep it away from your steering wheel though otherwise it will be v slippy to grip.

Personally I refurbished the skuttle panel and mirror surrounds with lots of preparation, plastic primer and matt black spray paint:

The rear tailgate trim is best cleaned by taking it off the car imho so you can treat it with stuff and not get it on the paintwork. It's 4 screws and some sticky crap.

Pretty easy. Pop the wipers off (13mm hex iirc) and then there are a few Torx screws to take out and then the whole scuttle panel can be lifted out.

The bit with the wipers in? That's the skuttle panel. It is easy to get off.

You remove the wipers (13mm nuts), undo the 5 torx screws, lift the edges over the rubber bonnet seal and open the compartments so you can get a good grip to yank the thing up off the friction brackets underneath. It will sound like you are braking something but as long as you make sure you dont snap the panel itself it's fne.

You'll find the brackets underneath. Retain these for when you put it back on and keep the rubber window seal (give it a good scrub as they get gunked up too and you can use special glue to reapply).

I have actually done both the Williams and Valvers skuttle now. The key is LOTS of preperation of the surface and cleaning it. Use plastic primer from halfords and matt black paint. I find the gloss is a bit much. Remember to clean the water ducts thoroughly as they contain loads of dust you wont see when wet. Same principal with mirrors.

I bought a better condition skuttle panel to be honest and that let me take my time over letting the panel dry, and not letting rain into the car overnight.

Tidies a haggard car right up. It looked better on the tungsten as the grey goes well with black.

Make sure you give a good going over with two or three coats of paint and plenty of time to dry between coats in a warm clean environment.
