I've got a set of 16 tappets/lifters sat in the garage if you want to clean them up and fill them with fresh oil then replace your existing tappets.

Yeah they're in good condition, i took them out of an engine with head work running 270 piper cams. I replaced them with a £60 new set from eBay as the head tapped, and i thought it was the tappets.

Turns out it wasn't, it was the cams making the tapping noise for whatever reason, as it sounded exactly the same after i replaced them lol.

You just need to prime them with fresh oil and they're good to go.

Considering a new set are £59.99 on eBay i'd do them for about half the price plus postage if you were interested.
