I was searching on the internet but I cannot find any usable formula for calculating exhaust length and diameter for automobile engines, so that one could optimize it for specific powerband. I don't mind if it's complicated, I work with triple integrations on daily basis so I don't think it would be too hard for me to calculate.

:lol: I guess I'll just have to go with the safe route and make it 2.5'' in diameter.

I think it's just funny that 99.9% of exhaust systems made aren't calculated in relationship to powerband at all. Maybe it's weird that I want to calculate it. But hey! We Slovenians are crazey! Including my fellow citizen Mr. Akrapovič. He's extra silly! :lol:

would be best finding a similar style engine configuration or works exhaust manifold and copying the dimensions...

Good call on the Gp A stuff :)

There's a place over here that did the Barker Capri in evo I think - they worked out (I presume) all the pressures and flows of the exhaust they were designing and then made it all up.

It was about £5k for the finished item though... :shock:
