ebay?

I see they have 'aluminium' rads on there but I'm not sure if they're better than standard? Or just the same?

Can anyone else help? lol

May get a rad soon too. Full coolant system overhaul ftw.

This is what I'm thinking as well - if I'm going to do my heater matrix, I may as well do the whole lot so I don't end up with it clogging with shit again... :)

Well, I have already done the waterpump which I reckon is by far the hardest part.

Thing is I have had a waterpump leak, a hose leak, a core plug leak and now I think I have a radiator (or possibly one of the big hoses on it) leaking as well.

Never ends does it?

My rad is probably all gunked up anyway. I have heard with more efficient cooling I will get better performance and economy. May as well do it as it is not that hard. Hardest part is that bitch clamp on the bottom hose!

Get a alloy rad that way it will stop the header tank going brown with rusty water

Hmm.. might see about the alloy rads...

I know what you mean about the bottom clip on the rad pipes, wobba - best way I could find was laying on my back, getting at it from underneath! If you can get the molegrips locked on it, you can then stand up and work it from the top :)

I made sure I refitted it so I could get at it from underneath next time lol

GSF I got mine for under £100, i changed my rad last year after buying numerous second hand ones and cutting the sh*t out of my hands, buy new and have peace of mind for a couple of years.
