Well the car did not disapoint, bar a few teething trouble and a nick in the rear brake line which unfortuantely ended the day a little bit early I can honsetly say the car goes, handles and stops far far better than I expected it to :D

Big thank you to Funbob and Sparky2i for there assistance, I cant wait for the challenge 8)

Couple of pics from the day

If anyone wants details of the test venue look HERE (http://www.parkwood4x4.co.uk/testfacility.php) it's £150 for half a day (4 hours) or £300 for the full day and you can run more than one car so the cost can be shared, it's a fairly relaxed venue with a porta loo and BBQ facilities in the 'service' area and the stage itself has a few different configs and has a few quick corners, jumps, water splash and hairpins so an ideal shakedown venue plus it can be run in both directions

Have not heard much from him since but he was having an issue with one opf the shafts popping out at low speed which I felt bad about but it never did when we had it no matter how much stick we give it

Wouldn't take much to guard a Clio up and stick some knobblies on

Does look like fun that! Tis weird that a few years ago i saw your clio in the tour of cornwall rally, now its miles away but still being put to good use!!
205's must be one of the best cars to get into rallying with tho!

Tour of Cornwall 8)

Cheap, plenty of competition bits off the shelf and decent handling cars out of the box

To be honest the lack of rally bits for the Clio's was one of the reasons I sold up

how does it handle compared to the clio?

Obviously it's not as quick as the Williams and not had it on tarmac yet plus it does not have PAS so hard to tell tbh

Only thing I can say at the moment is that it feels a lot smaller :?:

how does it compare to the old clio now youre used to it?

Being in gravel spec (not had it in tarmac spec yet) it feels stronger, I was always wary of driving the Clio to hardand breaking something but the Pug feels stronger and suprisingly quick for a standard 1600 though not anywhere near the Clio for power or pace.

Once I have driven it in tarmac trim I will be able to compare it more accurately.

Got the urge to build one from scratch now

The back ends with standard trsion bars are supposedly quite frutiy espcially over jumps but so far (touches head) no drama's
