...Noticed the williams is hitting the limiter at 7k or just shy of it, couldn't quite tell, but it felt quite harsh. The previous owner wasnt aware of it being chipped, so not sure what chip or remap it is, how can i tell?

Will it be obvious if i remove the ECU and take a look?

And what is the limiter set at on Hillpower chips?

Cheers
Danny

usually the rev limit is raised to 7800rpm like clio cup.
open the box, easy to see. but i think that would be standard.
i testad a clio cup box on my F7P i gained 3,8hp at the fly...

normally the williams ecu's that have been chipped redline at 7100-7200

the kill power chip iirc would redline at woteva it felt like at the time ;) in terms of power

best way to find out is just whip the top off the cover on the ecu and have a look

as 2live said mate, best way is to whip the lid off and you will tell straight away!

although i do remember my old williams going to 7k now n then depending on temps etc strange like as that was 100% std

will whip it off and have a look, like u said richy, could just be that, but it seems to do it in every gear?! so would be interested to see if it's chipped!

sounds like it's chipped to be honest Danny :)

now all you need to do is ditch that shitty siemans management and put something proper on it ;)

mine used to feel like a Brick wall at 6700rpm, with the gunnerchip the limiter is at 7200 and a fair bit smoother! Open it up if theres a 28 pin chip lifted up on a little carrier then your in luck!
