Thats funny cos i had an f16 i.e. and it was a williams engine? :lol:

Sorry but i couldnt resist!
Thats not the engine code,
F7P 1764cc 16V
F7R 1998cc 16V
Not Bad power for an F7P what was the wheel figure?

always fancied getting the willy done at their rr - especially now its standard again - fancy seeing if swapping back to standard exhaust had made a difference.

f16ie is found on both the 2.0 and 1.8 mate, it just stands for...

F = F series engine

16 = 16valves

ie = injection electronic

thats for both the f7r(2.0) and f7p(1.8) found in clio 16v and williams.

:roll:

F16 ie means nothing to the enignes internals. its just a pretty engine cover thats on 2.0 and 1.8

So whats been done to it to boost it to 144 ATW?

Daz.
11-01-2009, 23:27
He might not know if anything HAS been done do it - could be an f7r for all we know if he's struggled identifying the engine...

maybe finding out what the characterisitcs of the drive is will make it easier to solve!

Post up the power graph, we will be able to tell if its a F7P or an F7R from that.

right it is an F7p just looked on the block! as far as i was concurend untill the other day the engine was a f16 i.e :oops: but now i no lol!!! i shall scan the graph and what not when i have time this week!!
the car has a piper induction eco tec valves de cat and 3" bk box. i took to the dyno to have it chiped but the guy said that it was either already chiped or it is running well enough with out 1 and and by having 1 fit i would n't c much gain!

We All Start somewhere mate.. i think youll find that 144bhp will be flywheel, im yet to see a 1.8 without a turbo make that kind of power at the wheels! its a good figure actually for a standardish 1.8, loose the ecotec valve and fit an airbox with an itg filter and you'll get more ;)

When i took my valver for a rolling road mine made 141 atf with just a cat bk magnex system, still running cat, standard air bx etc etc, they said it was a good strong engine

Thought I recognised the car! I live in Darwen and used to drive a 172 Cup (N7 RUG) but that is just out now and again.
