Help - Viper Alarm [Archive]

My William has a Viper 489 Alarm fitted and the battery went flat on the car and the Key Fob, i have replaced the battery on the Viper Key Fob and charged the battery in the car

But now the remote control doesn’t seem to work with the car and i can’t get the car started

Does anyone know how to program the fob so it will work with the car again.......

Try key in ign turn till ign lights up, turn off take key out an press fob it workd on me merc!

There is some kind of sequence to it I think. Are you sure you have put the fob battery back in correctly?

yeah im pretty sure as it has a display on the key fob

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\its like the key fob has to be introduced to the ign/ alarm system ,a sort of recgnition after having been switched off

thinks cols right, i have a cobra, and thats a similar thing, you have to re-program the fob
