View Full Version : AWT cams in my williams
Just had some AWT cams + vernier pullys put in my williams by Ben, the car's going well with only a small adjustment to be made in a few weeks time --> infact it runs much more smoothly than i anticipated so i think i will go a bit more agressive with the timing.
All that leaves now is the supersprint manifold and a chipwizard remap and the wickid willy will be done :D
Sounds good mate 8) - be nice to see some comparissions...
You coming to the pod / trackday?
yeah im definately up for coming to a track day or 1/4mile as soon as i get my manifold and remap done, i also might invest in some 4pots and a quickshift to get it on form.
In the meantime i might comeup to one of the events, if theres anything on near-ish! to Gatwick.
hehe.feel a lot better now??
they def made a good improvement on jesus'
will be good to compare at pod... theres always the peaks run on sun if u up for it. i think saners comin up from heathrow area
Yeah feels much better ! 8)
im defintely up for coming to a track or 1/4m day, have you got any event dates for the rest of the summer, im off on Holiday this weekend and got to pickup the manifold off clean16v when he moves down my way, but after that i should be good to go :D

Weve got the Sprint day at the end of August in Somerset. That should be a good day out / weekender and cheap as well.
Just fitted my 2nd set of AWT cams into a Saxo VTR today and they have made a big difference to the mid-range power. The customers well pleased with them.

how much it set u back for cams n fitting mate? also any idea what profile etc ? unless benR see's this and can say :)
Dont want to 'advertise' or push products on forums, so if your interested just drop me a PM. Keep it out of peoples faces etc.
ok np mate, im not after any as yet, just resently sold some! just wandered what type of profile they was etc but can understand ! :)
they arent wild at all, just enough, not too much, dont setup a lumpy idle etc.
lol i like that, they arnt wild, just enough, not to much!
keep us guessing lol :)
Why a chipwizard re-map over a GDi SMT6??
Richy, i think they are '262' but the rest of the tech info Ben would have to explain to you , you can tell its cammed by a slight burble, but it does idle smoothly - and pulls strongly
smokey - i think the chipwizard remap will do the same thing for the amount of mods ive got as the smt6 (which will be cams/SS-manifold/exhaust), and is a bit cheaper ? unless you can give me any reasons why the smt6 would be better ? open to ideas...
i think ur makin the rite choice with the map mate tbh.
smt 6s seem to give a bit of hassle, cant up the limiter, and are generally not very good imo....or the guy thats mapped em doesnt seem to get the best out of em if u know wot i mean
