Last time I changed my sparkies, I found that the condition of the sparks were fine, excpet a couple were coated in oil. A friend suggested that the rocker cover gasket had perhaps gone, and its easy to sort, and cheap.
I'm prepared to do this with my next service next week, Im just wondering how easy is it to do. I've bought what I think the gasket is - do i just undo the torx screws, lift off the cover, then peel off the gasket and replace and tighten up by hand as hard as i can?
Can't see anything on this anywhere and i dont want to miss a step although im sure its easy for most.

:goodposting: They shear off quite easily and I guarantee the 1 that breaks will be the last 1 you tighten up, so they'll all have to come off along with the rocker cover, so you can remove whats left with some mole grips

yeah a little bit of sealant helps hold it in place when you put the rocker cover back on  needs to be more than finger tight tbh

Do them up till you think they're tight but don't give them that "extra turn" & you should be fine
