View Full Version : little update on the engine bay
little update on the engine bay added a strut brace painted it black and painted the bolts and washers orange.
also painted the manifold black and added a catch tank for the powersteering fluid the good thing is it sucks the fluid back up so its never lacking it and it stops the whine it sometimes got :D this will be the last update on the bay till i get bodies.

liking that.....well done :D
them jacks are quality! before i had to use the std jack to wind the car high enough to put normal jack under, now i dont have to do that lol
also agree on non pas, for daily would become a pain, luckily i dont use mine much on the road!

I do love your engine bay mate :droool: just gets better every time I see it  even though I always think there's nothing he could do to make it look any better
Did you have some paintwork done on it in Worksop mate?
Sure I saw your car in the same place I took my willy the other month :)

Very nice! This hybrid really does win me over 8)
I do remember there being a 'tried and tested' additive to use for whiney steerings that seemed to cure the problem (if the problem still occurs) - do a search, im sure its on here somewhere.

nah mate works in a body shop and ive been over recently but doubt its the same one as hed of said if he did some work on one as he has a williams himself.
eternal life, you been over to get the crx yet? thought i saw you and the other chap recently but turned out to be another guy who had just bought a williams lol

Did do mate - a week or two after I last saw you
Was against the clock though - so didnt really have time to stop, a quick chat with an enthusiast always ends up being 2hours lol
lol fair enough, thats very true tho once im on the subject i dont like to get off it lol

thats my black clio 16v you saw mate(happens to look like bendee's lol), i saw a williams there when i went for a quote, did you have the n/s/r arch worked on iirc?
infact there was a williams 2 iirc there when i went to collect my car, was sat with door off and some other bits being done!
yeh man mine was the one with the door off. Saw yours there when I went to book mine in. Engine bay looks mint.
I had both arches done, sills sorted, door swapped and both sides sprayed.
Need to take it back cos one of arches developed a bubble, they made a cracking job tho and are sorting the bubble out FOC anyway :)
yeah i had abit of my o/s/r arch done aswell as a sill tidied up and a full repaint to tidy it up!

very nice reminds me i have my strut brace to fit and rear spoiler
yeh noticed it had some fresh metal welded in on drivers one
Mine were pretty solid to be honest, was just starting to bubble so caught it early, i think they must have missed a bit maybe, is only a very small bit though.
yeah mine wasnt big to tbh, the total area was about 3 inch by 2inch high iirc, only bubbling through like you said yours was, thought i best get it done before its ****ed big time lol
but atleast there doing it FOC for you, like you said they might of missed a spot!
this is how it looks now..
