what gearboxs fits the F7R ?? just tried the JB3 from the 5 Gt Turbo but it wont fit... :roll:

is there any diference of the F7R Williams and the F7R Megane ?
the engine code is F7R D 712

I thought williams was F7R 700, megane 710 and the later megane & maxi was 714, I've no idea what the 712 is from :?

also dont the R5 boxes have no speedo drive?

the engine holes are wider than the gearbox at the front with the lower screw fitted near the transmission, and the right screw were it fits the crank sensor

hmm well i've never read of a R5 box being fitted to a F7 so not sure what else to say. i dont see why the 712 wou;ld have different bolt holes :? the spider engine has been used in clios im sure of it but never seen/heard anything about boxes not fitting

dan dan turbo man on c16v had a 5 gtt box fitted to his f7p turbo lump, no issues

JB3 will fit ,I fitted one to a F3P block but i had to grind some of the locating holes and i think around the flywheel housing as well.
I did unbolt it originally off a F7P........so as other lads say it will fit :)

Id be surprised if the JB3 didnt fit the 172..........but im open to be slam dunkd :lol: ps......I think my JB3 came from one of my R5GTT.

yes a 172 ph1 and cup box will fit and work 172 ph2 wont get a speedo reading though. i dont understand the second bit?


you'll need a mk2 battery tray and box mount though. and if you have abs the the mount wont fit

i had my old GTT box fitted to an F7P when it was dropped into my 5 shell with no problems

just remove the bolt near the transmission and it fitted :lol: 8)
