Hard to say. They are getting to that age where a minter can easily be worth 2 to 3 times the value of a well-used example. I would think on 86k anything less than a grand sounds pretty good value - especially since this is a classic and I can't see prices ever dropping much further (well, they can't really from a grand, can they!)

entirely down to condition. I've owned 5.

look for sagging rear axle and rust on the front panel and above the exhaust and all the normal places too.

in my experience people put them up for sale when they start to make funny noises so budget £200 to fix it on top of purchase. Normally at least 1 driveshaft, both ARB droplinks, and a balljoint or 2. piss easy to change though.

smoky engine will be worn valve guides, and not just "stem seals" as everyone claims.

ARB drop links and Driveshafts are the first things I'd check

Probably.

I've seen it going about from time to time and from memory it always looked in good nick so has likely been looked after.

Damage doesn't look to bad but the electrical problem is a bit concerning IMO unless you're good with that sort of thing...

i'd be all over that like a rash if i was looking for one.

electrical fault will be down to corroded terminals somewhere. doesn't sound like it's terrible but could be frustrating to find
