anyone know where to get or has a gearbox manual...its a valver box jb... i want to split the box...ive split may gearboxs but cant seam to get this one apart any help would be appreciated:)

You need some special tools to take these boxes apart, there is a pdf manual available.

dont really need any more than a bearing puller and gear splitter...
even these are only just required, it can be done with drifts, levers and hammers.

stan -its a spare box which i have in the garage and there is something wrong with it i want to open it and investigate

are you planning on re-assembling it? :lol:

If so then gte a gear seperator and bearing pullers.

if not, then drifts and pry bars are all thats needed (otherwise it easy to loose rollers from the bearings etc)

rough guide is to undo all the bolts holding the main body onto the diff housing, remove fifth gear annex cover, remove the fith gear retaining nut, ease the casings apart.

if there aint much wrong with it then ill prob fix her and reassemble....do you not have to take the gear-selector lever off??

pretty sure the selector pin/arm can stay where it is if your jsut seperating the casings.

Best thing is to get one of guides of the lads above...^^^
