View Full Version : fuel tank heat shield...

Mine is a bit rotten, Just wondering if you guys still have yours on the car. I am talking about the one mounted on the exhaust side of the fank, to protect the tank from the midpipe getting hot.

IIRC, there's one for the centre muffler and cat, another for the rear muffler and a tiny piece that follows the pipe when it does the Z-turn. Doesn't look like they do much, being non-reflective and having no insulation layer.

Weird, My fuel tank one shows signs of having been reflective but I think I shall just whip it off and hope for the best!
