Just had a phone call from the lovely people at Helphire :D

My cheque is in the post right now and the 307 of fail goes next friday, which means.................

..........The pink mintyness will be back for crimbo :D :D :D can't ****in wait
Just need to drop off the parts I got from Paul and wait for the cheque to clear then pick her up :D

I'll be getting £1200 and the repair is costing £500 so I'll be spending the £700 left over on all this stuff I've been offered

Forged Pistons set - low comp
Cam Lifters
Bottom End Gasket / Seal set
Crank Main Bearings
Crank Big End Bearings
Crank Thrust Washers
Cambelt & Tensioners
Uprated headgasket set (With head bolts)
Waterpump

For the sum of £950 delivered - is this good? :?

Are you spending the leftovers on an F7P engine?

Could it be worth finding an F7R? ;)

Or there's the 1.8 Cup engine in the For Sale forum for a bargain price!

Why would you want/need them bits?
Restore it as a mint valver - more charmful imo :D

Technically it is, Cat C, but I blagged it to be that so I'd make a few quid out of it

Here's some pics I took of the repair work this morning

The only downside is it's gonna cost an extra £100 as the roof had to be re-done :( the repair to the top of the B-pillar caused the roof to move a bit & cracked the paint

Er, you might want a mod to remove that (and this) post in case insurance bods are on the ball and find it!!

It's all legit, the engineer worked out the cost of repair on the basis of the cost of a whole new rear qtr and door from renault, and that I'd demand like for like replacement with genuine parts

AFAIK the other guys insurance co. dont really give a toss what I do with the car as they've paid a smaller sum because I opted to keep the car

They should be greatful I'm saving them money, this little accident has been fookin costly for them. This is the list they're paying for so far

Damage to crash barriers
Destroyed lamp post
Clear up & recovery costs
Fully comp payout for his car
My payout
My hire car costs @ £90 a day since 6th Nov

Then this on top

Compo for injury & loss of earnings
Lawyers fees
Helphire's fees

Just re-read this & forgot to answer that, it's being spent on a meggy F7R I bought ages ago
