only issue there might be is the arb design is slightly different between the 2 centre mounting points, as on them the exhaust goes over the subframe, not under like ours, ive compared them on my 18 2 and hybrid and it may fit, just not prepared to take it off the 18 2 lol

i remember seeing 21 and 23 for 16v and williams when i looked at
dialogies a while back .

am i right thinking thicker bar = less flex hence better
handling ?? or is there a limit to how thick you can go ?

:P

yeah thicker is stiffer mate, look at the arb on a 26 ton lorry, its like 100mm

mk2 artb wont fit , the arb loop will hit the shell

im sure someone tried it on clio16valver

those were the numbers Stromba chucked around recently... but he was probably just making things up.... again. Dialogys says 22mm and 23mm for the ARB for 16v and Williams; backed up with the notes included for the inner bushes. I've got a valver ARB and a Williams, but never bothered to measure them (don't have verniers anyway) and my Williams one has a layer of hammerite on it :D

with the Williams being 23mm and the valver being 22mm, the Williams would be approx 20% more rigid.

if the valver were 21mm, the difference would be about 43%.

Justin, can you remember who it was that tried that mk2 ARB? did it definitely hit the shell.. or was it the exhaust?

where the hump on the mk2 arb is there is no chance it will fit a mk1

i will jack up the 18 2 later and get some pics/measure height as im fairly sure it was only the exhaust position that would be a issue!!
