soon to be for sale is my k reg valver bought from u33db off here 3 years ago

its chipped, cammed, and widetracked, also has rear tinted windows, front windows of the same tint level i still have and will be supplied

its got 174k on the clock but it had a rebuild before i bought it, at around 130k IIRC

since i got it, its had:

Renault geabox fitted + clutch kit
full respray - arches are bubbling again but not too serious at the moment
brake calipers front and back
new dogbone + under battery engine mount
stainless exhaust system - scorpion
all sensors replaced - cant think of any i havent done
cambelt + head gasket
injectors professionally cleaned
ignition coil

has always passed its MOT, handles like a dream, its lowered 35mm on lowering springs and obviously has got all the widetrack bits and pieces which most or all of which were bought NEW from Renault by u33db

recently had a new wishbone, genuine part fitted @ work (Renault dealers)

currently fitted with genuine willy speedlines refurbed in white, powdercoated, with Michelin Pilot Exaltos all round

the reason im selling is that the mrs is on at me to get something more sensible, and to be honest id like a newer car, plus with it being lowered its not always practical, i avoid most roads with speed bumps just in case it catches, i want something that can do more MPG aswell as i do a lot of motorway driving in it, a diesel is on the cards !

currently its fitted with an Alpine head unit (~£250), along with CDT front component speakers (~£150 worth) and a Phase Linear/Evolution amp and sub (~£500 worth), using the best Stinger RCA leads that you can buy (2 @ around £60 each IIRC)

i might be willing to let it go with all the audio still installed as it would be a pain to take it all out

i also have a few spares ive accumulated, i bought most of them as 'just in case' spares on Ebay, such as a spare chipped ecu chip, a few spare ecu's, a throttle body, full exhaust system, full wiring loom, stat housing, set of turbine alloys etc etc

id be hoping for offers ~£1500 considering the new box, genuine speedline willy wheels, and the quality of the audio installed, but im open to negotiation

i want this car to be owned by someone who loves valvers and willys so id like it to go to an enthusiast on here

only 1 pic at the mo im afraid, im going to take more over the next week and post them up

willing to drop the price to £1200 if my audio is removed from the car and no spares go with it, i could sell those myself

i can provide a standard head unit and code to go with the car but you would need to put some front speakers in

Bump for BRUN - excellent car and a brilliant price! 8)

details of the niggles, i want to be totally honest with anyone interested

* the speedo cable vibrates sometimes behind the dash, ive had it off in the past to replace a bulb so maybe ive left it resting on something

* back arches are starting to go again but not too bad, certainly better than most

* at the last MOT i got its first advisory of some front corrosion, which ive bought some waxoyl to sort but not got round to doing yet, my mate who was the tester said its nothing to worry about for a while but i asked him to mention any little thing whatsoever he found so i know about it

* it has a new box and clutch, Renault parts, sometimes at idle i get a noise from that area, which the lads at work think may be the clutch, you only get this noise some of the time and it goes when the clutch is depressed, the car has drove fine and still does, no gearbox noise, no slipping clutch, nothing of the sort, all gears are 100% and ive never ever crunched it, clutch/box was fitted 6 months ago and ive got the paperwork for that, so the parts are still under warranty however i havent got the time for them to take the box and everything out now, i need to sell the car as another is on the way, i cant risk it being something else and ending up with a bill for labour, im 99% certain its the clutch / release bearing but apart from the noise sometimes everything works fine as it should

also its had new renault rear discs (with bearings) whilst ive had it, hadnt mentioned those, also the n/s front wheel bearing has been done aswell

Probably the release bearing if it disappears when the clutch is depressed.

Looks an absolutely lovely car, mileage gives it character IMO!

Good luck with the sale :)

thanks mate, and thats what i thought aswell, the bearing, if it didnt have that noise every now and again i think i could get £1-£200 more for it, but i need a quick sale

ive now removed all the audio as i dont think it will sell with it in, so price is now £1200

went to put the standard tape unit back in and it seems my dad has given it to his mate !

so, ive no head unit to put back in, however, to balance that out ive left the front component speakers in, which are CDT's and worth £150-£200 when new

BRUN

too much bother putting the old ones back on, i know they have value but hopefully that will help the sale of the car

Shame about the rot.

Thats whats killing your asking price imo!

Dont think your gonna get what you want for it mate, as everyone wants small engined cars and cheeper tax.

Sorry.

Dont think your gonna get what you want for it mate, as everyone wants small engined cars and cheeper tax

:? why would people be browsing a wc forum looking for a small engine for cheap tax.

I am in the situation where i can run a clio 16v, and im interested as im an enthusiast!

Was only browsing in general,

Answer this then, if the stock market and the housing markets are depreciating then why would the 15 year old cars still be worth what they are estimated before the resession?!

sid_taylor

never said that it would make 1200 bucks just stated that people that want cheap run around cars with low running costs dont look on wc for cars then click on wide track valver.

Hi mate. I'll buy it from you if you still have it at the end of January/Febuary. I'm well into these cars and always had them since I've been driving. Its a very nice car...where abouts are you from, near Manchester???? I've almost finished my euro-styled 200bhp williams......look out for it soon. Cheers, Ric :)
