potentially yes its poss if you have a decent contact surface on both the tag and the element you could clean the two surfaces so clean and shiny then i would bond the tag to the screen (superglue/araldite) then with suitable wire bridge the gap and solder and bobs your uncle and fannies well they are very nice
Yeah, ive cleaned both connector and contact on the screen, both are pretty flat and clean break, hopefully i will be able to fix this after lugging it all the way back from FCS when i got it from AndyFielder, lol
new screens are cheap though if you have to swap it - or second hand even cheaper!
Really?
What do you call cheap mate??
Just ordered some of this, worth a try i suppose

Sorry! Im gonna take some brave pills and try soldering the bugger on. Its my fiancees megane coupe so not even easy to get to :(
Ive got a soldering iron here,im lucky that the glass is out atm, wondering how difficult it will be,worried about damaging the glass even more :?

surely a working screen from a scrappy for a tenner would be a simpler option?

its straight forward just make sure the area you want to solder is clean and dry and unlikely you would damage anythin just take your time if you can lay your hands on some flux it will help things along when your after a clean surface to solder
