The bloke said he'd done Williams wheels before,i suppose its how good the gold looks with these though thats important, prices are £70 per wheel thats tax inc/any kerbing(he said large chunks missing would be extra) and re balancing the wheels after.

240 from pristine?

that sounds quite cheap, do they do the polished lip too?

polished lip powder coated then all laquered, wet finish rather than powder coat is 15 quid ish per wheel extra

This is the quote iv had, Could get it £80 cheeper if i do the polish lip myself, prob will do that as i think £80 for 8mm wide polishing on a 15inch wheel is a bit much.

so how does that work getting the wheels refurbed if you want to do the polished lip yourself?

do you get the lip done and then take the wheel for them to paint etc?

or do they paint the whole thing and then you get the lip cut back and polished?

anyone know who will do the polishing? no one round my way will touch it they said. (se london, kent area)

guessing paint first, then cut back, polished, then lacquered hope this helps

Would do this apart from the lacquer, lacquer does not stick to polished alloy

i may be wrong but shouldnt the lip be machined on a laithe as opposed to just being polished. The advantage would be any kurbing damage could be filled with weld and cut back.

yeah after polishing im sure if it was stripped of all polishing chemicals the paint would stick and not react, the only thing that worries me is that fact the lip will have no 'key'

It will stick, could always use u-pol grip#4.
