COL ~~ owt is possible   ,I would think to get the Sierra type 9 box on the F7r,will need a "custom"  bellhousing, but as the guys who Rally use the Vauxhall red top,and Toyota engines, with that same box ~~ It is a good possibility.
Mick at "A Frame" engineering supplies most of the factors with these bellhousings and might be of help ~~If you ring him, mention me ~~ we are good mates 8) 8) His website lists the Bellhousings available ~ not sure how upto date it is though.

See if you can mount the box to a volvo RWD (340?) bellhousing?

Im sure you would be able to, as this is the bell housing im using for my engine dyno...so definatley fits the engine, and cant see why you couldnt just drill it to suit the type9.

Hi Stan, Yea i was thinkin of the "zero" model good value etc, but i might plug for the westy,a bit more expensive but their only 5 mile down the road. And i know who makes the windscreens :D

I have been speaking to Neil ( Ex.Prima) about this conversion ~~ He was at Bruntingthorpe setting a Westfield with a Megane 225 engine   but using a Hewland gearbox    ,This box only requires a small adaptor plate ~~ But I would expect costs an "Arm and a Leg"  .
His thoughts on the project,A nicely sorted normally aspirated Cossie lump or a Duratec on carbs,~~ Whilst the Renault engines give good power, they weigh a lot by comparison

cheers Rod, you reckon the hewland box costs a bit ,ithink the cossie an duratec aint far behind :( .

Im selling the pinto engine id got from stripping the sierra [does anyone want an anchore?]
