I fitted my gunnerchip yesterday and it worked fine, and today after coming out of work my car would not start, luckily i had my original ecu with me, plugged that in and my car fired up, have checked all the soldering once again and it still wont start, any ideas????

by the way the 7.2k rpm was good fun while i had it

Strange. First thing I would check, as you probably have, is hairline solder over the connections. Other than that perhaps it has gotten damp somehow?

Check pin connections. Check for any signs of it shorting out on the board itself.

Leave it somewhere warm and dry and try again later...

no its definately not damp, and checked all connections 2 or 3 times, could the chip be faulty???

What ECU are you using? Are you using a chip carrier on a Willy board?

I only say that as there have been issues using Valver ECU's.

its on a phase 1 valver ECU i got off stan, didnt fancy doing the soldering on my Williams ECU for this very reason, as wouldnt have a car to drive now lol

Yea same thing I did, but the valver ECU and chip did not work. Tested the chip on a spare Summeh had and it worked.

Still not working then?

yeh still not working have tried cleaning the board a bit but still doesnt work, thinking about buying another phase 1 ECU, see how that goes, a bit annoyed though as it will be the 3rd one :(

and cant live without the 7.2k rpm now!
