Ive just had my arches done on my willy 2
need to apply new logos. they arent originals but are very good replicas.

Basically has anyone got a decent close up pic of them and if possible a measurement of how high they need to be above the bump strip and also horizontal placement for both sides. Wanna get them in the right position or they will look poo! hehe

cheeeers people :)

I can sort you out tomorrow - I put brand new genuine ones on less than two weeks ago using the precut application paper.

cant remember, and the item info has gone because it was a while ago, the lettering is almost perfect just the gold is quite noticeably darker and there is no infill to the letters.
the 2's arent available anywhere, i got lucky as they were ordered by someone years ago and they were on the old stock shelf ready to be thrown, i got a set of centrecaps for 20quid too

Doug you are a star!

Ive got some decent copies, they are just outlines, but ive got an original on the back and a stripped williams on my drive to compare em with so will let people know how good they are. They do look a very good copy, but a shame they are just the outline.

Just couldnt justify spending 60 quid on a set of originals, if some come up in the future can always change em anyway.

If anyone wants a set of these i can get them in sets of 4 so you have a spare, are only about a tenner posted for 4 :)

I prefer just outline ones if going replica - its impossible to match the metallic paint of the car perfectly for a decal - seems silly to hide the colour you require which is actually on the car with a shoddy match!

Its wierd but if I can't get a 2 I'll have to rip off perfectly good decals to match them all up with outlines - would have bothered me greatly a while ago but now I'm not sure it does - after all outside of this forum who the ****s gonna know!

I'm sure I've seen many a mint STI with replica decals all over it, or a 106 rallye etc... if you get what I mean?

this was my though when i first read all the hoohaa about 'bad' replica decals, yeah theyres real bad ones and some that are good enough. to which no one would even notice unless you were told anyway!

gayness imo :P

if you look at that pic and imagine it further back you wouldn't even see that the blue is an infill

no but the gold outline is quite different and with the light gold wheels this is exaggerated, but its good enough for me,

i mean i had 4 lads in college ask me why my clio had gold wheels on and tried to tell me i was trying to make it look like a subaru!
and all laughed when they found out id paid 2k for a 13yr old car, they'd never heard of it before and insisted that their mates fiesta ST would wipe the floor with me.
i tried telling them that old is more fun and power to weight bla bla bla but they weren't interested and tried telling me that modern cars are lighter due to improved technology hahaha. made me annoyed tho

so im not sure your average person would be able to spot replica decals lol

to tell the truth alot of people do not know how fast they are till they get in to one i knew they were quick when i bought one, but not this quick  i love it and a fiesta st is shite compared to a williams for speed and fun have drove one loads of times like most new cars now days you got to rev the fook out of them to make them go fast
WILLIAMS FOREVER

well i took one of them for a spin today down the 1/8th of a mile strip through the industrial estate outside college, went as i expected....

1. he got into the car and instantly said how comfy the seats are (as everyone does)

2. after a perfect launch he was thrown back into his seat and said '****in hell' about 4 times till the top end of second.(even though i didnt break 30 or traction at any point during this demonstration )

3. i slipped it into third before braking hard at the end of the road, as i dropped him off all he could talk about was insurance costs and if he would be able to get one or not, i gently told him he didnt deserve on hahaha

good old williams never fails to impress
