Hi Guys,

I don't know if any of you can help with my current problem...???

My Clio just died on the way home from the rolling road on Saturday. Initially I thought it was fuel but after putting some in it still wouldn't start.

The RAC towed me home and he said he was 80% certain it was the coil that had gone.

I have replaced the coil today but stil the car won't start...

Now the issue is that when you turn the key you get a "buzz" as the circuits arm prior to starting - my car currently is still not doing this...

Any ideas what it could be????

I have the feeling this could be an expensive one to try and fix so any help would be appreciated....

Cheers.

Possibly that the fuel pump isn't priming? How much fuel did you put in when you thought it was out of fuel?

I've put 10 litres in it after I thought I'd run out of fuel - that should have filled the emergency tank and some of the main tank.... how do you check whether the pump is priming???

Is the battery dead?

Could be worth trying with a new one, although sudden failure probably rules it out as they usually go gradually.

Have you checked all the earths are secure? Mine wouldn't do anything one morning so I had to have it recovered by the dodgiest garage in the world  (yeah, thanks Green Flag...)

£70 later they said it was an earth and was now fixed. Has been fine since!
