My car has none in currently, later I'm going to put some in, but it is stored a long way from any shops. What is the maximum amount of coolant that can be put in? I dont want to turn up with too little. Thanks.

IIRC the full system takes ~7L

pass but i think most normal euro hatches are about 3-4 liters, so a couple litres antifreeze concentrate should do i think, i dont have autodata on this laptop or i could have been more specific, sorry

When i first re-done mine after my flush i think i used around a quarter of a 5litre bottle of GSF stuff....

So a little over a litre (1250ml)....which i doubt u can buy litre bottles anyway :? Give or take for spillage too and whether ur gona take out the radiator plug to let it circulate into ur system more...

Prob wouldnt go for no less than 2litres if u have NONE in it....duno where u are but i no its freezing cold where i am...

Just get a 5L of blue morris stuff from gsf and mix it 50/50 with water, and yea, its about 7L for a Williams.

Or you could go supermarket spec, or even Type D Renault stuff, but the green premixed can get pricey and only comes at max at 5L so you need more than that.

You may find you have residual coolant that has not come out so it may take less than 7L. You must flush system with plain water to avoid mixing system with potentially incompatable coolant types because of this.
