Hi,
I'm a regular over on Cliosport under the same username, and currently drive a 182. I did my first trackday in the car a few weeks back and thoroughly enjoyed myself, so have now got my hands on a '94 M plate 449 Valver to work on over the winter with the intention of using it as a track/weekend toy for next year.
I don't know a great deal about the Mark 1's, having only had 2 previous mark 2 Clios before the current 182, so bear with me! I'll maybe get my membership paid up and make use of whatever guides are on here!
