right how much do renault charge for rear brake discs(complete unit with bearing) for a willy 3 (ABS of course) i take it they are not sold in pairs, so how much each? also is this part number for them correct

770 0805 148

and are the pads on the rear of the williams 3 the same as the 1 and 2??? what with the williams 3 being ABS??

also is this code correct for them

770 1204 036

iirc the pads are the same, but id check.

had to order renault discs as the abs rings were different from gsf.

in fact, since the rear brake problems, added to that the problem with an aftermarket clutch cable, its better to order from renault for all mechanical type parts.

yeah my garage(renault specialist) told me to make sure the parts i get for him to fit are OEM parts and not patent. he was going to price up the parts himself, but im sure i can source them cheaper by looking online and asking on here. i take it the pads on the 172/182 are totally different???

pads are same mate, calipers etc are all the same its just the will3 use abs, iirc it was slightly cheaper to get abs discs from renault then non abs, use to be in the region of £60+vat each (comes with bearings)

but i have been told that renault have upped alot of there prices so best checking with you local dealer.

northy i dont think the rear discs come with fitted bearings. im sure you have to get them pressed in. only about a tenner each.

i got mine from motex/japspeed and they came seperate, pressed the bearings in and had absolutely no problems with them at all mate. Its getting the old ones off thats the problem haha!

if you buy them from renault they come with bearings pressed in, non-gen usually dont come with bearings.

I was quoted something like £150 for rear discs from Renault the other day :?

I will check this part number though, thanks! :)

They definitely come with bearings in, yes?

And you can just take the ABS ring out to make them non-abs rear discs? (is that a hard job?)

Sorry for all the questions

£55+vat each side seems a lot :?

But I guess they have already got bearings pressed in so you're saving buying the bearings and getting them pressed...

Bloody renaults costing money :x lol

FATBOY
27-10-2008, 18:31
well ive been told that your more than likely to damage the bearing when pressing it in. so buying the complete unit seems like the right option.
