williams run a 3bar fuel pump, pressure regulator at zero vac should measure 3.0+/- 0.2bar, with vac at 500mbars should measure 2.5+/- 0.2bar so suspect this regulator is not correct hope this helps m8[/img]

they came on cup cars ive got one on mine there just an adjustable regulator, get a gauge and try it on the vacuum pipe that comes off it and see how much fuel pressure is there

Is it a suposed to be 3 bar ?? how do you measure fuel pressure off the vac pipe ?? thought you had to put a meter in the fuel line before the regulator ?

original cup cars ran standard regulators. Get it changed!

Its not a cup car engine though ? Should it have the pressure stamped on it ? if so it it just a case of getting one with the same pressure stamped on ?

If its adjustable then i guy its not got a pressure stamped on it.

I guess the williams is the one that has the 3bar one ? is this the same as the cup racers ?

i meant to say take the vacuum pipe off and put a gauge on it,it seems a bit of a coincidant that its identical to the one i had off nick hill and i'm sure he said it was off a cup car its not just the regulator thats different the complete fuel rail is different

how can you measure fuel pressure on the vacuumpipe ??? there is no fuel pressure there, the pipe is to increase pressure when you put the pedal tho the metal and is controlled by engine vacuum, thats why its connected to the manifold...

Agree you need to have it on the fuel feed side just before the fuel rail.

my mistake i think you have bypass the fuel pump relay so the pump is going constantly then tee into the fuel return with a gauge then you can adjust it with that regulator

Fitted an inline pressure gauge no so can check if the pressure drops when it starts to mifire and playup.

Its currently showing 3.5bar when priming and 4Bar when running. Is doesnt change if i take the vac pipe off.

Is it knackered ? seems high but runs fine.
