Help needed MOT failure

My Willy failed it's MOT on a broken offside front coil spring, I know its on lowering springs but don't know what make! :oops:

What springs should I go for. I need them before this Sat :roll:

i dont know what springs you will go for in the end but
standard willy ones might be for the best .

either way its a bitch to get them top mounts off a clio

gsf carparts sell lowering springs, maybe the fastest way?

Depends if you want to stick with it lowered and how much if so anything up to 30mm drop I'd recommend eibach

otherwise go with standard williams springs, either way I'd also replace the top mounts since they've gotta come off, one of those might as well things to do

Both the above are standard willy springs. You can either sell or bin the rear springs that you don't need!

These are slightly lowered :)

Make sure you replace both front springs at the same time!

top mounts are renault only last time i looked .
you can get them as a part of a repair kit and depending on
your dealer you might be waiting a week or more (unless they
have them in stock :shock: )

I do want it to be lowered but not stupidly, don't really want standard springs!

I'll join cliosport later & look at the ones on there.

Have a feeling that the top mounts may have been changed a couple of years ago when the current springs were put on, if so will they be ok?

I swapped the silly 60mm springs that mine had :roll: for some eibach 30mm ones 8)
I can't remember if they're called pro-lines or sport-lines, some are red and the others are black, you want the black ones for up to 30mm anything more its the red eibach springs you want

I just gave away a pair of 30mm ones lol oh well, im running standard and its good.

Do you want lowered springs or a spring / shock combo

apparantly they are Apex springs on there now, don't want it more than 30mm so am off to the wanted section Apex or Eibach :lol:

Apex are crap imo

Their shocks are, but don't really know abouth their springs, but I suffer from a case of brand loyalty and eibach have always done it for me/friends/family over the years very good quality and good customer service 8)
