really after some advice on where to go with my existing project!

I currently drive a mk1 clio 1.8 16v with a very good engine running about 150bhp.

The body is very tired and at the begining of the year I gave it bit of a bodgy respray just to make it look a little tidier. sadly the rot is showing through in all areas and really is destined for the scrap!

I recently purchases a mint 1.2 clio with a buggered clutch to use as a donor vehicle but my biggest problem was that standard clio's dont have the wider front and rear arches as the 16v and williams.

I have two options for this..

I have bought a 90's bodykit which would replace the front and rear arches giving a wider than both standard and 16v spec clio, but I cant decide if it will look too chavy, I'm after a motorsport theme so will be going for plain white, stripped and caged.

Or I can keep the standard narrow body and fit the rsi spec items (which I also have)

Both options will see the 16v engine fitted.

some pics.

As the car is:

The alien bodykit I have:

Although the sleeper thing can be fun  I do actually quite like that bodykit.

It's quite 'plain', unlike the vented Dimma kit.

Not 100% keen on the front bumper but that's the only bit I'm not sure about.

Bear in mind that you will need wide rims for that kit, or spacers, which may change the handling characteristics.

Theres parts of that kit I like and parts I dont. The Alien kit has been around for quite come time, and I have never been too sure about the front bumper, but hey ho. I like the arches though.

the answer across the board seems to be stick with the kit and change the front end!

nicec, but as people say im not sure of the front end though... maybe change out the front bumper?..

other than that i would look into the possibility of making it into a 'Maxi'... a lot rarer and for me a lot better and smoother looking... pm Maxi on here and he will tell you all about it,

going to stick with the kit and redesign the front bumper!
