oil cooler

can peeps show me where you have mounted yours, i'm having a few issues with the length of the pipes as to where i can mount it :roll:

mine is fitted on the beem behind the front bumper, bolted on at the bottom...

yeh i was looking to put it there, couldnt decide on above or below it, and either way the pipes were at a bit of a stretch :(

i have a cooler above too, hence why the oil cooler is below :D

i have my cooler fitted behind the centre grill on the bumper, but its offset to the drivers side, ie next to the tow eye bit, the pipes then run down under the subframe(where rad sits) and back aroundive secured them up, thats the only way i could route them decently without one being way to long or short!

mine is almost in the same place, but about 4inch to the left, close to the tow eye

hmm i cant get mine inbetween the rad and crossmember because the 172 rad sits further forward :(

think i will end up doing it like you richy, offset to the left so the pipes reach ok :roll:

tbh mate, one reason i put it there was also to try and allow as much airflow to the radiator aswell as the oil cooler rad, i know air will flow through the oil cooler and then through the rad but should help even if its minor!

plus as you said, pipe fitment!!
