found this just hangin down metal little spring underneath the car by centre box and gear stick cant figure out where it goes and it is quit rusty

ok thanks its very old and rusty do you recomend getting a new one does it do much or can i leave it off thanks

get a new one as there not expensive and hold the linkage in place really

It's to help line up the gearstick so you can get into 3rd/4th easy.
