whats the best way of sealing the main crank bearing cap on a rebuild? its the No5 one flywheel end and houses the rear crank seal.
The only way i know is by messing about with that stupid sealer and hardener by injecting it down into the grooves.
its a pain in the arse though is there a better way?
how is it a pain in the arse? sealer in the gun and fire it on.

...pardon. you have to mix it like filler and it stinks and gets everywhere... its like beetroot. Just looking at it and its on your shirt
Renault supply a syringe thing to inject it down into the grooves but it just doesnt work like that. The end doesnt even fit.

just use a normal tube of automotive silicon sealer. no need to use the renault 2 part stuff
I used loctite instant gasket that comes in the pressurised container... seems to be working so far..
